Something Of The Norm

The standard of achievement in ones life horizontal with a journey.
We all search seek and strive for it everyday some in a hurry.
A complicated thing the norm can be depending on individuality.
Adversity can keep the willing from reaching the norm all self defined.
In return some of us put GOD in our life to keep from falling behind.
Or some type of higher being to give inner strength within.
Personal reflection can sometimes define the norms of men.
Revolving and evolving into a atmosphere of difference.
To the point where happiness all depends on a choice of preference.
The norm of our land is currency comfort and love of a spouse.
Marriage a couple of kids white picket fence around a big house.
Then happily ever after like some novelty book.
Until reality arrives and the norm takes on another look.
Adults change along with wants and needs.
As dreamers dream and pursuers succeed.
We can easily say it’s a way to conform.
But in the end we all crave for something of the norm.
